After a two-day business conference, I had a 5:00pm flight on the 3rd day — enough time to enjoy a quick visit in Copenhagen. I took a ride on the City Sightseeing bus (aka “Hop On Hop Off”) where I could have a flexible schedule. While touring the harbor area of this Danish city, there was a stop at Gefion Fountain.
The Gefion Fountain features a large-scale group of animal figures being driven by the legendary Norse goddess, Gefjun. It is the largest monument in Copenhagen and is used as a wishing well.
The Carlsberg Foundation donated this fountain to the city of Copenhagen on the occasion of the brewery’s 50-year anniversary. The fountain was first activated in 1908.

Nice to meet you at TBEX in Copenhagen. I missed this, but it’s beautiful. There was just so much to do it was impossible to fit it all in!
